To round off the first month of my challenge ‘a photo a day for 365 days’ this giant gecko was spotted climbing the wall of a neighbours house.
Well, actually, it’s been there longer than I have and was painted by a local artist.
It’s beginning to look a little worse for wear and needs a bit of TLC. But, what do you think of street art, graffiti or a great way to show talent?
When I was in Baja, California a few years back the trolley bus stations were filled with street art depicting the struggles of the Mexican migrants, they were colourful, well painted and above all, told me (a tourist) something of the struggles of people.
Here in Spain, you can find street art on every corner. Should we encourage or discourage, organise it or let it free flow?
- Is it art?
- Is it destruction of property?
- Do you love it or hate it?
- Where’s the best street art in the world (Banksy aside)?
- What do you think?
