Day 41 took me into my local town of Baza. I love the way the Spanish have a passion for ornate roundabouts. This one is just off the A92 and the olive tree in the centre must be at least 200 years old.

I love it the way they sculpture the tree into flat geometric shapes and the radiating shapes of different coloured gravel. I am sure there is a competition there somehwere for spotting the best and blogging the ayuntamiento.
They have always fascinated me and I have wondered who maintains them?
I beleive it’s the responsibility of the appropriate ayuntamiento, hence why some are better maintained than others.
