THURSDAY APRIL 26
19:00: Presentation of “Moors and Christians in Spain. Mark the millennium of the kingdom of Granada “in Alhanda Hotel located in the Plaza Mayor.
FRIDAY APRIL 27
20:00 pm: Solemn Mass with the medals to the new members of the Brotherhood accompanied by a musical group.
23:00 am: Informal parade with the typical costumes.
23:15 pm: Live music performances at the Tent City. FREE ENTRY:
SATURDAY APRIL 28
12:00: Departure of the bands from the beginning of the fairgrounds to the tent city.
13:00: Official presentation of the bands contest.
14:00 h: Lunch of rice for only 1 €.
19:00: Arrival of the queen accompanied by the bands.
19:15 h: Cutting the ribbon to kick off the parade by the town Mayor and Queens.
After opening the groups of Christians and Moors start the flower parade to the Plaza Mayor.
19:30 pm: Novena in honor of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
21:30 pm: Coronation of the Moorish and Christian Queens 2012. Upon completion, there will be a firework display.
23:30 pm: Parade of Banda music of the Brotherhood from Canada to the Park of San Leon.
23:45 h: Verbena at the Tent City with performances by Zahra and Burma. Free admission.
24:00 pm: Fireworks Castle Football Camp next to Parque San Leon.
SUNDAY 29 APRIL
10:00 am: Solemn Eucharistic with Brotherhoods and Choirs.
11:00: Pilgrimage procession of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
18:15 pm: Departure of the image from the Hermitage accompanied by the Christians.
18:30: On el puente de los salitres, the Moors represent the simulation of the Captivity of the Image.(these are the famous Moors and Christians fights) The image will be escorted by the Moors to the parish church.
23:00 h: Verbena at the Tent City with performances by Zahra and Black and White. Free admission.
MONDAY 30 APRIL
18:15 h: Christians will simulate the rescue of the Image.The image will be escorted by Christian Proclamation to the parish church.
23:00 h: Verbena at the Tent City with performances by Zahra and Almaida. Free admission.
TUESDAY, MAY 1
09:00 am: Diana by the Band of the Brotherhood.
11:00 am: Solemn Eucharistic act. Upon completion, there will be a procession with the image through the streets.
13:00 h: Huge firework display in honor of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
19:00: Invitation to beans, cod and wine.

Living in rural Spain 
And to anybody who has never been to the Moors and Christians then it is a must see. For me as a photographer it is just stunning. I have been for the last two years (unfortunately cant make it this year) and I have hundreds and hundreds of images from it. The problem is that it is so good that there is an image to be taken absolutely everywhere.
